This is a beautiful surah that is recited in different parts of the world. Allah (SWT) sends blessings to His Beloved Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) who had delivered the message of Islam to all people on earth. It was revealed at Makkah where many people were delighting in evil worldly pleasures without any concern for the Hereafter. It was on Muhammad's tongue that Allah (SWT) said, "O my servants who have believed, fear your Rububiyya..." And He continued His addressing by saying, "O you who believe! Enter into Islam completely. Completely." In the last two Ayahs that have been revealed, Allah (SWT) has told those who have been given the glad tidings of entering into His religion that their life and wealth and blood and kin and property - everything will be secured for them. The surah starts with a reminder to the believers: "O my servants who have believed, fear your Rububiyya." It means to remember the blessings bestowed upon them; because there is no action which they do after accepting Islam that they will not be rewarded for it. Even if they commit a sinful act like stealing or committing adultery or drinking alcohol or any such thing, it does not mean that they would be deprived of their reward. This also shows the greatness of their faith. This surah's first Ayah contains a reminder to the believers; "O my servants who have believed, fear your Rububiyya." Some Ahadith mention that it belongs to the recitation of As-Sajdah (To prostrate) and Niyyah (Intention). The word Rububiyya means that there is no evil deed or deed which would take them away from Allah (SWT) except what they do by intention. It is because this life is full of understanding and misconception. It is because of this that they can commit a mistake, but they are forgiven for not committing it intentionally. They have to just say "Laisa Hahooda" or "Lau Taf'aloo." عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ فِي الِّصْفِيِّين " وما توعدون من عذاب " إلى آخر السورة ". Muhammad bin 'Abbas said, "When it was revealed in the surah of the believers that "And what shall make you know what is worst?" till the end of the surah, its recitation was not complete." It comes at the end of an Ayah which talks about those who were warning and giving a call to those who would believe and fight against their enemies. They were asking: "What kind of dih (bad word or statement) should we recite to them? What will we say to them that we would command them to do?" For this reason, one couplet was revealed as a reminder for those believers. cfa1e77820
